What is a radial shock wave therapy?

Radial shock wave therapy is a modern, physical therapy method for the treatment of chronic pain syndromes in muscle, tendon and fascia tissue. High-energy pressure waves are applied to the painful areas using a special therapy device.

Promote these impulses:

  • the blood circulation of the tissue
  • the metabolism in the affected region
  • the self-healing power of the body
  • the reduction of limescale deposits

The treatment is carried out externally on the skin - without needles, without medication, without surgery.

This is how the treatment works

  1. Medical history & findings
We discuss your complaints and localise the affected structures.
  2. Customised adjustment of the shock waves
The frequency and intensity are adjusted according to the pain pattern - for maximum effect with optimum tolerability.
  3. Treatment with radial shock waves
The impulses are transmitted to the affected area via a therapy device. A session lasts approx. 15-20 minutes.
  4. Debriefing & combination with physiotherapy
For lasting results, we combine the therapy with active movement therapy or manual exercises as required.
